Is it art? Is it fine cuisine? Is it a new do-it-yourself pizza kit from Boboli? It’s not clear, but it’s probably delicious.

Celebration Europe II - Azerbaijan?

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

No - that’s no moon… it’s a hotel! Or at least the concept for a hotel in Azerbaijan that looks strikingly Imperial from at least one angle. Looks like the perfect place for the next Euro Celebration if you ask me. Checkout more info and pics on Gizmodo.

Coming Up: South March Meeting

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

The March meeting for the South Region will be on March 8th at Bryan Moore’s home from 3-7 pm. In addition to the usual Star Wars conversations, sales, show & tell table and more, this month there will be a new Feature Presentation:

If you’ve ever had an interest in the gaming aspect of Star Wars, role-playing games, Star Wars Minis, etc. this Feature Presentation is for you. We are going to have host Bryan Moore and his fellow members that are well versed in the gaming world give a presentation & demonstration of several of the outstanding games set in the Star Wars universe. This will be set up for anyone who wants to learn more about it, at a beginner level. Anyone that wants to is welcome to participate, and if gaming isn’t your thing there will still be plenty of food, friends and fun. See everyone there! Directions are in the forums.

Star Wars as Summarized by a 3-Year Old

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Is there anything cute kids can’t do to take a seemingly complex subject and break it down for us? My own kids have given me some pretty funny accounts about the plots of various SW movies - if only I had taped them. Well - someone did - and it’s priceless!

R2-D2: Steampunk Style

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

I personally love collecting unique, one-of-a-kind Star Wars art pieces. Here’s one that would look sweet in my collection - but is more likely to end up in Dustin’s. The creator is considering raffling it off to raise money for charity. Click the link for more!

Desk Fit for a Bounty Hunter

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

If Boba Fett had an office - THIS would be his desk. This desk was designed and hand fabricated by longtime RPFer - Tom “Wampa” Spina of Tom Spina Designs. Bringing SW into every day life - does it get any better? And can a Jar Jar in carbonite be far behind from one of our KSWCC brethren?

Sideshow ObiWan in Clone Armor up for Pre-Order!

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

UPDATE: One OSWCCer has already reported in as snagging one of these with a grand total of $97.13!!! As of 1:20pm EST, I am getting an “Out of Stock” message when I try to login - so if you were on the fence - you may be too late.

As expected - this excellent-looking 1/6th scale figure has a higher price - $89! If it’s still worth it to you - better get him while he’s hot!

Discuss this in the OSWCC member forums!
